70th anniversary of the International Women's Club Kassel e.V.
In the best weather and in a stylish ambience, the "International Women's Club Kassel eV" celebrated its 70th anniversary in the Kaskaden Restaurant in the Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe on June 23, 2019.

With sparkling wine and music, the arriving guests were greeted. Thanks to the beautiful location and the fantastic sunshine they first joined together outside for a small talk. After all the guests had taken their seats inside the Restaurant, our President Angelika Hüppe greeted the nearly 100 guests with a brief review of the club's development and noted that the IWC's goals are still valid 70 years later.
Among the guests were the mayoress of Kassel Ilona Friedrich and the cultural advisor Susanne Völker. For the VDAC the president Sigrid Behnke-Dewath, the representative for students Mike Pilewski and the youth representative Antonia Schroeter arrived. Several students and representatives of the Kassel Soroptimist clubs took also part in this anniversary and addressed some greetings to the guests present.
For all surprisingly, the IFC received a special honor by presenting the medal of honor of the city of Kassel, which was awarded by the mayoress Ilona Friedrich for the great honorary commitment in all the 70 years. President Angelika Hüppe and as a longtime member Irmgard Schulte-Bonsfeld accepted this special award with great applause from all present. Also look at: Award
After a festive meal, an entertaining club riddle, a very informative digital presentation about club events of the last decades and a short walk right on time for the cascade waterfall, some club members, under the moderation of Petra Nagel, talked about special features from the long club history.
This jubilee was marvelously musically framed by the flute playing by Constanze Betzl and the guitar by Peter Ernst, who beautified the day with their music inside and out.
